Soraia Cardoso is an international specialist in design, web development, and usability testing; with a broad knowledge of employing usability methods to optimize web applications, e-learning materials and software products. She is devoted to make them user-centered, task-oriented, enjoyable and usable!

Prior to founding Sotopia Usability Consultancy, Soraia worked as a Human Computer Interaction consultant in the E-learning research department of the University of Oviedo (Spain). After that, Resco Communications (Sweden), IconMedialab / Lostboys (Sweden and Spain) and TestUsability (the Netherlands) marked her career to date.
Soraia holds a Master in Social Sciences with a major in Media and Information Design from Karlstad University (Sweden) and a Degree in New Communication Technologies from the University of Aveiro (Portugal).
Soraia teaches Usability Engineering at the University of Rotterdam and is a member of Usability Professionals Association (UPA) and ACM Computer Human Interaction (CHI).
